Scaffolding Accidents

Many work related injuries arise out of scaffolding accidents. Scaffolding accidents provide the injured worker the same benefits as all other work related injuries with the exception that many times scaffolding accidents allow the injured worker to file lawsuit against an additonal party or parties responsible for the injuries. Many times scaffolding is erected by a company other than that of the injured worker. Moreover, violations of safety rules such as OSHA, ANSI or other similar rules, regulations or standards may permit an injured worker to bring a claim for money damages not provided under the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Act. If that is the case, the injured worker may have the right to sue that company for damages not available under the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Act which include full lost wages, future lost wages and pain and suffering.

To find out whether or not you have the right to additional damages above and beyond the Worker’s Compensation Act, please contact Klezmer & Associates for a free consultation.
